Ph.D., Eng. Piotr Klonowicz defended his doctoral thesis in the discipline of “Construction and operation of machines” at the Lodz University of Technology in 2012. The work was devoted to the optimization of turbines intended for operation in ORC systems. In the same year he started a post-doc internship at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) in the Department of Technical Thermodynamics. In 2014, he started working at the Turbine Department of the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where he works as an assistant professor until today.
